Geologia Applicata e Idrogeologia

The research activity encompasses different aspects involved in the hydrogeological risk analysis (i.e. flood, landslides, pollution and erosion), water resources evaluation by means of quantitative techniques (hydrogeological surveys, tracer and isotope hydrology), the trial of new tracers for hydrogeological applications, fluvial dynamics and hydrology, isotopes and their variations in the hydrological cycle. Specific attention is paid to the methodological innovation (in particular concerning the development and experimentation of new techniques in tracer and isotope hydrology).

  •  Hydrogeological hazard analysis
  •  Hydrogeological setting of porous and fissured rocks
  •  Isotope and tracer hydrology for groundwater investigation and water resource management
  •  Hydrogeochemical and numerical modelling
  •  Evaluation of the erosion in watersheds

MAIN SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL CONSULTANTS ISSUES
  •  Integrated water resource management
  •  Tracer tests in hydrology and hydrogeological problems
  •  Groundwater quality and evaluation of aquifer parameters in wells and springs
